Welcome to East Lindfield Netball Club Managers!

dedication,
organisation...

The role of the manager of a team is vital. The manager can ensure that the team has a fulfilling season.

The manager is the administrator and communicator of the team.

Each team will be supplied by the club with a bag containing a spare white polo t-shirt and a very basic First Aid kit.

The t-shirt is for the use if the blood rule is called into play (see rules in fixtures book) and the First Aid is for minor scrapes. There is a full First Aid Kit in the KNA club house at Canoon Road courts. The manager is responsible for this bag and contents throughout the season and it must be returned to the club at the end of the season.

Managers must familiarise themselves with the players and take note of any special medical conditions or requirements of the players. A medical details form should be completed by each player and kept by the manager for reference.

Managers should encourage players to bring their own water bottles clearly labelled with their names to all training sessions and matches and to discourage sharing of these.

Managers should work closely with the coaches - ensuring that the players all get a fair run on the court throughout the season (the manager should keep a written record of this) and that good sportsmanship is encouraged at all times.

Managers must make sure all players are registered if they are to play. The manager must also ensure that they are dressed in full and correct club uniform, that their nails are short and rounded, that they are wearing no jewellery and that all players have signed (the same way as on the original team sheet) the match sheet. Each club will be rostered on for ground duties at Canoon Road courts during the season. It is the managers duty to ensure that parents are available to help and do help on the days required.

We hope you all have a great 2009 Netball season!

Instructions for Managers

  • Managers to pick up the score sheet. The first named team in the fixture book picks up the score sheet at the window in the Complex.
  • Players to sign the score sheet in Alphabetical order. It is not necessary to leave a space if anyone is not playing. Borrowed players sign at the end with the team they normally play for written next to the signature. Managers will be given a copy of the signature sheet.
  • Managers stand together in the middle of the court and score half a game each.
  • At the end of the game the sheet is signed by the captains and umpires and the final score entered. The winning team takes the score sheet back to the window.
  • Managers please make sure all rubbish is picked up at the end of the game.
  • Managers are to support coaches in any way necessary.

Instructions for Netta Managers

  • Each team has their own score sheet which is picked up from the window.
  • Netta players do not have to sign. The manager has to write players names, preferably in alphabetical order.
  • Netta managers must enter team rotations in each quarter or half, whichever is applicable.
  • Managers should assist coaches to ensure all players rotate through every position equally throughout the season.
  • Team sheets are to be taken back to the window at the end of the game.
  • Netta rings and post pads are to returned to the storage shed after the last scheduled game for the day.
